WALRUS covers about 33 percent of it's costs through

ticket sales, the rest comes from supporters of the arts

(people like you) and rentals of our theater.

90 % of our discretionary budget is directly

dedicated to either paying the financial support of

performing artists in the community that we serve.

As you know, for the last 5 years, Walrus Performance Productions has created and produced

innovative new performances in our community that question, challenge, and touch audience members. We

have been doing this in a space in Pioneer Square that has not been our own and that we have outgrown. We

are very excited about having acquired our own space. Walrus is now joining the progressive arts community

at the Capitol Hill Arts Center www.capitolhillarts.com . Our new theater will provide a wonderful venue for this

work.

To make this vision a reality, we have developed a 4-year business plan. There are, of course, start-up costs

associated with our new space. Over the course of the next six months we will need to invest $10,000 of initial

capital. We are asking for your help in funding that investment.

We have set up a Washington State Limited Liability Company, Walrus Investments LLC, of which I am the

single member. This company has been created for the sole purpose of being a vehicle for investing in

Walrus Performance Productions, which is a charitable non-profit arts corporation. The form of investment will

be through loans from people like you who want to help.

We are seeking loans to Walrus Investments LLC in the amounts of $500 or $1,000. We intend to pay simple

interest at the rate of 8% distributed quarterly on the principal sums. According to our business plan, the

principal will be re-paid on December 31, 2011. The principal and interest payments will come from the

standard operations of Walrus Performance Productions. While there is an obvious risk involved in these

loans, we are very confident about our ability, based on our historical financial performance to realize our

business goals.
